America’s Hometown Expedition is a one-hour guided walking tour through the heart of Hannibal, Missouri. This experience highlights our scenic riverfront, historic Main Street, and nearby storied streets while offering engaging insight into the people, places, and events that shaped our town and continue to define it today.

While we do adore Mark Twain and he is the reason our town is as popular as it is today, Discover Historic Hannibal also covers others that changed history and the world as we know it.

Guests will gain a deeper understanding of why Hannibal is known as America’s Hometown, from its early founding, its ties to Samuel Clememns and it’s enduring connection with the Mississippi River, along with the people and moments that continue to shape its identity today.

• Hannibal residents may receive the discount by presenting a valid Missouri driver’s license or Missouri state ID with a Hannibal, MO address on the day of the tour. If proper identification is not presented at check-in, full price will be charged. Please note that these are the only accepted forms of identification.

• All ticket sales close 24 hours prior to the tour.
• Walk-ins are welcome at any time but are subject to availability.

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable once purchase is complete, regardless of circumstances.
However, if Hannibal Expeditions Tour Agency cancels a tour in its entirety, guests will receive a full refund.
